The Last of Us still at the top of the UK charts

The Last of Us has held onto the top spot in the UK gaming charts this week, continuing it’s strong sales success after it’s June 14th release. Naughty Dog’s latest seems to be a commercial hit after scoring highly amongst critics.

After the news last week that it had become the highest-selling new IP since L.A. Noire it seems that the high review scores, and word of mouth advertising, are still pulling in gamers in big numbers. The game had already beaten Uncharted 2 in terms of first week sales and looks like it will be a strong contender for sales come the end of the year.

It appears not everyone is enjoying the game though, after actress Ellen Page came out against the game and the likeness between herself and Ellie.

Animal Crossing:New Leaf remained at number two in the all-format chart with Tomb Raider and BioShock Infinite also managing to stay in the top twenty. VG 24/7 has the full top twenty.
