Today has seen the release of some more gameplay footage of Diablo 3 running on the PS3.
First shown at E3, the footage shows Josh Masqueira, the game director, explaining how the game has been optimised for the console. As well as improving on some of the issues that were present at launch of the PC version, notably the DRM requirements, the game has also been redesigned to fit with the consoles controllers.
With both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions due for release in September 2013, Blizzard have been keen to show off that they have listened to the fans and responded to the criticisms. One main criticism with any PC RPG that has been ported to console is the user interface. Again Blizzard have been keen to stress how the inventory has been redesigned for consoles.
With a PS4 version already in the works, it looks like a great time for console gamers to become interested in the RPG genre and with Blizzard so keen to show off the game it looks as though we may have our first truly great PC port.
