MLG Anaheim to have over $100,000 worth of prizes


The  MLG Pro Circuit Spring Championship is fast approaching and game fans couldn’t be more excited. The Anaheim Convention Center will be housing the event from June 28th – 30th. The stakes are high with over $100,000 in prizes on the line between the different competitions.

The League of Legends North American Online Qualifier will have four teams, whittled down from 64 teams, competing for $30,000 in prizes. First place will receive $20,000 and a spot in the LCS Season 4 Spring Promotion Tournament. The North American League Championship Series will also be happening, with eight teams playing three matches.

Qualifier Teams include: compLexity, Curse Academy, FXOpen, and Team Salad Bar

LCS Teams include: Cloud 9 HyperX, Counter Logic Gaming, Curse, Team Coast, Team Dignitas, TSM Snapdragon, Velocity Esports, Vulcun TechBargains

Call of Duty: Black Ops II for the Xbox 360 is also on the agenda. One hundred and twenty-eight teams will compete for $50,000 in prizes, with first place claiming $20,000. The top sixteen teams will advance to the Championship Bracket in the Winter Championship.

Teams include: IcoNs Impact, vVv Gaming, compLexity, OpTic Gaming ,EnVyUs ,FaZe, Curse, UNiTE Gaming, Impulse, Prime Example, Termination

Finally the StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm World Championship Tier 1 open bracket tournament will have 128 players fighting for $25,000 in prizes, first place will get $10,000.

Players include: Dear, Demuslim, Dragon, Golden, Grubby, Heart, Hero, Huk, Hyun, Jaedong, Minigun, Moonglade, Naniwa, Nony, Polt, Qxc, Sase, Select, Soo, Stats, Suppy, TheStc, Thorzain, Vibe and many more. Full list of players for the tournament here.
