Whore of the Orient, the new game from the makers of L.A. Noire, may have been resurrected after all.

Kennedy Mitchell Miller Interactive looked like it might have to abandon work on the project in April when support for the game seemed to fall away but has now received $200,000 of government funding from the New South Wales’ Interactive Media Fund according to Game Informer.

KMM picked the game up, along with many former members of Team Bondi, but was rumored to have difficulty in finding a publisher. Although the amount of money isn’t huge for a development of this scale it does show that the game must still be in development in some form.

The game is still expected to be released some time in 2015 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
