PS3 players get to try free Black Ops 2 DLC “Revolution” this weekend

PlayStation 3 gamers will get a little extra out of Black Ops 2 this weekend with the news that they will be able to download a free version of the first DLC pack, Revolution.

Treyarch have announced that until June 24th every PS3 player will be able to download a trial version of the DLC. The pack contains four new maps, a new zombie mode and the first, and so far only, DLC weapon – the Peacekeeper.

To get the free trial, gamers simply have to go to the Black Ops 2 in-game store and select the “Revolution free trial.”

The move follows EA’s decision to allow players to download the Close Quarters DLC for Battlefield 3 free during E3 week, a move with may have prompted Activision to follow it’s lead.

The third DLC pack for Black Ops 2, Vengeance, will be released on July 3rd for Xbox Live, with the PS3 and PC versions following later.

Thanks MP1st.
