DICE’s Patrick Bach: competition is “beneficial for everyone”

Battlefield 4 - Siege on Shanghai Multiplayer Screens_4 WM
We all know that Battlefield 4 is the one and only serious competitor for Call of Duty: Ghosts. Both game are designed for next-gen, they both promise the world to gamers and have a great history behing them. Today Patrick Bach, executive producer for Battlefield series, stated today that “competition is beneficial for everyone”. And quite frankly, I agree with his statement. Competition always encouraged both sides to improve their overall quality when it comes to games, so why not?

“And I think Battlefield 4 hopefully is a good testament that we’re doing that. I can’t really see any downside to having multiple games being great. I’m happy for the consumer, first, and I think we will step up our game to fight the competition even harder. We think we have the best game; we need to prove it.” he also said.

Too bad that the race is held only between two competitors, I’d love to see more FPS in this fast-paced permanent run.
Battlefield 4 will be out in October for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and next-gen consoles.
