GAME last week opened their first ‘Microsoft-only’ store in London, MCV reports.
While most of the attention was drawn to E3, the prototype store got off to a low-key soft opening. It’s believed to be the first time such a store, dedicated only to one brand, has been opened in the UK.
The store, which is a concept design, is based in Boxpark Shoreditch. Boxpark is made up of refitted shipping containers, making it perfect for such a pop up shop design.
As well as the hardware, the store also contains software, accessories, demo pods and a Microsoft Surface display. It will officially open on Thursday June 20th
It is being shown off to the gaming press next week and it seems likely that it will be one of the first places in the UK to offer a hands-on with the Xbox One. It would be a surprise if a similar deal isn’t struck with Sony in the months ahead as well
