GameSpot reported earlier today that Peter Molyneux, the lead developer of the original Fable game, played and enjoyed Fable Anniversary so much that he gave the upcoming HD remake a thumbs up.

Though Peter had departed the company in 2012, he is, according to Lionhead Studios lead developer Ted Timmins, a friend of the company.

Timmins was the one that informed us of Molyneux’s approval of the upcoming remake. Said Timmins, “He popped over, had a play, gave a thumbs up, and then went back on his way.”

For those unaware, Fable Anniversary is an upcoming HD remake package featuring both the original game and Lost Chapters. It will be exclusively available on Xbox 360, and will launch later this year.

Lionhead Studios also confirmed that no additional content will be added to either Fable or Lost Chapters.

Will the HD remake be worth your money? Will fans of the game enjoy it as much as they did the original version?
