The Last of Us has taken prime position at the top of the UK games charts. Since release on Friday it has sold more units than any new IP since LA Noire all the way back in 2011.
While both Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite sold faster than TLoU this year, it has had a stronger first week of sales than the mighty Uncharted 2, according to Chart-Track and reported by Eurogamer. It’s also Sony’s first game at the top of the charts since Uncharted: Golden Abyss during the launch of the PlayStation Vita.
Nintendo also had a good showing with Animal Crossing: New Leaf coming in the all-format chart at number 2, making it the fastest selling non-Mario game on the 3DS.
