Mario Kart 8 Wii U to have 12 characters, can be played traditional or with Wii U Gamepad’s motion controls
Nintendo America spokesman Hector Solis shared with us some more details about Mario Kart 8, a game developed exclusively for Wii U. The game will feature twelve playable characters, with two new characters Wario and Toadette, that will race in a new anti-gravity world. This means that in Mario Kart 8 you can drive upside-down and up on walls, a feature that adds more depth to races.
One of the most attractive feature is the possibility to play either in the traditional way, using direction buttons or using the motion sensor included in the gamepad, just like a real car wheel. The world map is no longer shown on the screen, and it will be available on the gamepad’s touch screen.
Mario Kart 8 will support 12 player multiplayer and it will be available Spring 2014 for Nintendo’s Wii u.
