Respawn Entertainment’s debut game, the science-fiction shooter Titanfall, could come to the PlayStation 4, despite publisher EA’s exclusivity deal with Microsoft to release on the Xbox One.
Speaking to Eurogamer, Lead Artist Joel Emslie said Titanfall coming to PlayStation 4 is “definitely not out of the question.” “We want to make everybody happy, but this is where we’re at right now.”
Titanfall utilizes Microsoft’s cloud-based processing power, a tool the PlayStation 4 can offer too, as we learned on Wednesday.
EA Labels President Frank Gibeau told investors on Monday, as reported by CVG, that Titanfall’s exclusivity on the Xbox One is a “tactical opportunity.” What that phrase really means, is unknown.
Titanfall will launch on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC spring 2014. The Xbox 360 version of the game is not being developed by Respawn.
