E3 2013: Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida loves the Oculus Rift
Shuhei Yoshida, Sony Computer Entertainment head of Worldwide Studios, approves of the the virtual reality headset Oculus Rift.
“We’ve got a couple of development kits,” Yoshida told Engadget in an interview today, “and I tried it out and I love it.” Yoshida told the site that the PlayStation 4 does not support the device. He refused to comment when it asked if the company plans on supporting it in the future.
An HD, consumer version of the Oculus Rift is slated to release next year, and with Sony’s push to independent developers, the same men and women creating software for the device, it wouldn’t be surprising to see PlayStation 4 support it at some point.
