Nintendo had not shown gamers much of Bayonetta 2 since they announced the sequel was a Wii U exclusive at last year’s E3. So, it may have been a surprise to many Wii U owners to finally see gameplay and hear Nintendo speak at length about the highly anticipated title during the Pre-E3 Nintendo Direct this morning.
In the trailer below, Bayonetta sports a new hairdo and attire, while at the same time seemingly retaining everything that made the first game such a big hit for Platinum Games. As of this moment, Nintendo is intent on keeping everything about Bayonetta 2 authentic, but we will have to see if anything changes.

This is certainly a title that could grab the attention of gamers still wondering if the Wii U is worth buying. Gamers should look for the title to hit stores some time in 2014.
