Atlus announces a semi-remake of the original Etrian Odyssey.
Today, Atlus sent out an email to members of the Atlus Faithful announcing a brand new entry in their popular RPG franchise, Etrian Odyssey.
The game, titled Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl, is a semi-remake of the orignal DS game, Etrian Odyssey.
The game’s Story mode will feature two firsts for the Etrian Odyssey series, namely voice acting and animated cutscenes. If you have doubts about how these will turn out, you should lay them to rest, as, according to a report by Joystiq, it will be handled by the talented team that implemented the features on both Persona 4 Golden and Persona 4 Arena.
In addition, the game will emply a new system called the “Grimoire Stone”, which will allow you to assign skills, thus creating hybrid characters yourself.
The Classic mode is simply an updated (3D) version of the original game, although enhanced with the new system and given three new difficulty modes: Picnic, Standard, and Expert.
Will the upcoming entry in the popular Etrian Odyssey series continue to charm its fans?
