New Tekken to be free-to-play.

According to a report via GameSpot yesterday, the upcoming Tekken game, Tekken Revolution will be both a PlayStation 3 exclusive and free-to-play.

The game is scheduled to launch tomorrow, June 11, and will include an initial roster of eight characters.

Tekken Revolution will both feature an Arcade Mode, as well as online modes. The online modes allow you to spar against other humans in both ranked matches and unranked matches.

In addition, Namco Bandai has added new Special Arts and Critical Arts attacks, as well as the ability to upgrade the individual characters. Some attributes that can be upgraded include Strength and Endurance.

The game, which will be the first Tekken of 2013, will only feature a mere 8 characters to begin with. There are no reports right now as to whether or not Namco will add more, but it is likely a safe bet that they will.

Will the upcoming Tekken be as good as the other games in the series? What other characters may be released after the initial 8?
