E3 2013: Sony unveils world premiere of Mad Max video game
One of the things that drew attention during Sony’s E3 conference was their world premiere of Mad Max.
Not much was shown in the short trailer, however based on what was shown, the game seems to be capturing the movie’s feel almost perfectly. This means that everything, from the game’s very atmosphere to the actions of those residing within the world, feels nearly identical to the movie.
Unfortunately, video games based on movies (and vice versa) have had a lot of issues standing out in the past. Typically they are lauded as being horrible cash cows, and have a bit of a reputation for having bad controls and simply being rather lackluster games in general. If the trailer is anything to go by, however, Mad Max may just manage to bypass those issues.
What do you think, readers? Will the developers of Just Cause manage to avoid the pitfalls commonly found in movie-based games?
