Earthworm Jim and Neverhood creators seek crowdfunding for Armikrog.
As reported earlier today on Gamespot, Doug TenNapel (co-creator of Earthworm Jim and The Neverhood franchise) has teamed up with Pencil Test Studios (a company comprised of minds that assisted in both Earthworm Jim and Neverhood) in order to create a new game titled Armikrog, and are seeking crowdfunding via Kickstarter in order to create this new game.
According to the official Kickstarter, Armikrog will be a game that “blurs the lines between art and technology, using stop-motion animation and sculpture to bring this project to life”. Utilizing quirky characters and unique worlds created from clay, Armikrog is sure to be a unique game.
The story will follow the adventures of Tommynaut, a space explorer. Tommynaut has a partner, namely a blind alien, talking dog called Beak-Beak. The two end up crash landing on a strange planet and are subsequently locked up in a fortress known as Armikrog. Now they must escape the fortress, solving various puzzles in order to do so.
Armikrog will also feature an all-star voice cast, including at least one person any child of the 1990s should recognize; Rob Paulson. For those unaware, Mr. Paulson was the voice of Pinky (Pinky and the Brain), Yakko (Animaniacs), and Rafael (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) to name a few.
Will the game succeed in being a great clay adventure?
