KOTOR is heading to the iPad
That’s right, the popular Star Wars game is heading to the iPad, as evidenced by a review conducted yesterday on IGN. Knights of the Old Republic has widely been considered to be one of the best Star Wars games released so far, so the expanded market has something to look forward to.
The reviewer on IGN mostly praised the controls, pointing out that swapping items even felt improved with the touch screen rather than the standard controls. He does, however, point out that movement is the one exception. Says Watts, “Running from place to place involves dragging and then holding a finger to guide your Jedi in the proper direction. This inevitably blocks a significant chunk of the screen with your hand, and worse yet, makes for awkward running in general. It was not uncommon to find myself hitting pieces of the environment or my fellow party members, and then needing to turn and fumble my way out of that spot.”
Overall, the reviewer seemed to enjoy the iPad’s version of the game. Was the move to iPad a good choice or should it have stayed on PCs?
