Real Boxing strikes Vita in August

Vivid Games is bringing Real Boxing to the PSN this August.

The game, set to hit the Vita, was previously released on iOS last November and Android at the beginning of May.

“With the exception of the cardiovascular benefits or the threat of actual, physical pain, Real Boxing is exactly that – real boxing,” said Remi Koscielny, CEO, Vivid Games. “We’ve crammed everything fans love about the sport of boxing into the Vita, making it one of the most comprehensive sports titles available for the system. We cannot wait to throw our hat into the ring this August.”

The game will use the Vita’s touch controls, along with the joystick, to let players take on the career mode, training and fighter customization. In addition, there will be online and local multiplayer, as well as “special tournaments.”

I’ll be checking this out at E3. Hopefully it will be good, considering EA’s abandoning Fight Night.
