CuriousityBryan Henderson, the winner of 22Cans’ Curiousity, won the status of the god of all players in the developer’s next game Godus. That status will be temporary, then someone else can replace him, according to an interview with 22Cans founder Peter Molyneux by Rock Paper Shotgun.

Godus is still in development after its successful Kickstarter campaign. The developer hasn’t determined what the length of Henderson’s and future gods’ roles yet.

“We’re talking about that period of time [right now]. It won’t be less than a few months. It might not be more than a year. And then we’ll unveil the ability to usurp the god of gods and replace him with someone else. That someone else will then take on all of Bryan’s powers.”

The Godus Alpha for PC launches soon for Kickstarter backers. The developer is listening to feedback from Alpha players, Molyneux said, and will adjust the time accordingly.

Godus will be available on Mac, PC, iOS, and Android on an unannounced date.
