Big names announced for Game Developers Conference in Europe: Epic, 343 Studios, Double Fine
The gaming calendar is full of all star events and interesting expos. The Game Developers Conference (GDC), isn’t just held in America every year, Europe gets their own venue to boast about, and it recently got a shot in the arm with some serious star power.
Set to take place on August 19th, and going through the 21st, GDC is a place where all of the biggest names in game creation get together, and talk about where the gaming industry is, and where they’d like to see it go in moving forward.
Big names have already been announced for this mass gathering of game talent, including Epic, 343 Studios, Double Fine, Ubisoft Montreal and more.
A few of the game focused keynotes and conferences have been outlined, including a look at the development process of Assassins Creed III, the making of Halo 4’s episodic content Spartan Ops, and a discussion about scalability, involving Double Fine’s new mobile/PC based game Broken Age.
General Manager Megan Scavvio of GDC Europe had this to say:
“There was a tremendous boost in both the quality and number of submissions this year for GDC Europe. I can speak for the advisory board when saying that we think attendees will be extremely pleased with the speaker roster and find great value in the content that we’re programming.”
Look forward to even more announcements and guest reveals, as we approach GDC 13: Europe launch window of August 19th.
