‘Shadow of the Eternals’ developer: The Wii U is great to work on

Not everyone is all doom and gloom on the Wii U. Unlike Bob Summerwill, who has noticeably stayed silent on his Twitter account, Precursor Games CEO Paul Caporicci says the Wii U is a great system to work on.

Caporicci, whose team is currently developing and working on a Kickstarter campaign for Shadow of the Eternals, told Nintendo Enthusiast in an interview that:

CryEngine 3 fully supports Wii U and it’s been a great system to work with so far. And in regards to Shadow of the Eternals, beautiful visuals are just one part of the experience. There are many different pieces that all come together for this experience and the Wii U handles that complete package very well. So, we’ve had no problems so far and we’re not at all concerned about what the Wii U can handle.

The episodic successor to Eternal Darkness, Shadow of the Eternals has raised $90,641 of its lofty $1.35 million goal, but still has 26 days left to go to funding. Caporicci anticipates releasing the episodic game directly to Wii U and PC, but has not shut the door on other consoles.
