Rockstar Games today announced two Grand Theft Auto 5 special editions that include both in-game and physical items.
Anyone who pre-orders the game will receive access to the Atomic Blimp vehicle. A code to unlock it will be included in the game. We’ve contacted Rockstar to see if the blimp is exclusive to pre-orders or if it will be included in the first batch of shipped copies. We’ll update the post if it responds.
The $79.99 special edition includes an artbook, blueprint map of Los Santos and Blaine County, a boost that increases the recharge speed of main characters Michael, Franklin, and Trevor’s special ability bar, additional stunt plane trials content, characters accessories, and weapons.
The 179.99 collector’s edition, which in the U.S. is exclusive to GameStop, includes everything the special edition does with a security deposit bag, a “New Era 9FIFTY” hat, custom characters for Grand Theft Auto Online, and special vehicles for both multiplayer and singleplayer.
The collector’s edition gives us the first details about Grand Theft Auto 5’s multiplayer content. Apparently, players will be able to customize characters and possibly vehicles too.
Grand Theft Auto 5 launches on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Sept. 17.
