Forza 5 revealed and expected at launch of the Xbox One
Today’s Xbox One announcement was a huge moment Xbox players all around the world have been waiting for. Microsoft certainly managed to impress us with their next generation console, but what kind of an event would it be if we didn’t get to see any of the upcoming games? After all, despite of the system’s new interactive and social features, games still matter the most. In this regard, just like during the PlayStation 4 event, we were given a taste of things to come.
One of the first exclusive titles coming to the new Xbox will be Forza Motorsport 5. Developed once again by Turn 10 Studios, it is the latest instalment of the well established and beloved racing franchise.
The series has come a long way since its first introduction in 2005, each iteration bringing something new to the table for Xbox fans to look forward to. This year should be no exception.
Although information at the moment is scarce, we do know that cloud integration and support will be a key part of the gameplay experience. The first trailer takes us to the heart of Europe – Prague, Czech Republic – and gives us a glimpse of what to expect come later this year. Several close-up shots of the two cars show off some of the graphical features, such as improved textures and lighting, ultimately leaving us wanting to see more.
Forza Motorsport 5 will be available at launch, exclusively for the Xbox One. The title will be competing with Sony’s Gran Turismo 6, which is coming out for the PlayStation 3 this fall. Stay tuned for more in the days and weeks ahead.
