EA engineer takes to Twitter to call Wii U ‘crap’
First rule of business in the new world of social media: If your position at work involves the words “senior,” “chairman,” “vice president,” or any combination thereof, delete your Twitter immediately, for it will be your doom.
Bob Summerwill is a name Nintendo people will soon know and equate to other names such as Adam Orth and Satan. Summerwill is a Senior Software Engineer and Architect for the ever-spiraling-downward Electronic Arts, champion of the microtransaction and recipient of the Golden Poo two years running. As you may remember, EA proudly announced how they would stand behind the first machine in the eighth-gen race in 2011, and how in only two years they’ve completely turned heel on that promise, leading up to a 2013 E3 pavilion with zero Wii U titles.
Mr. Summerwill, the Senior Software Engineer and Architect for EA, would like to let everyone know that the Wii U is, in his own words, “crap.”

Summerwill’s tweets were quickly deleted. Summerwill joins “always-on” Adam Orth, a former Microsoft employee who wondered who would live in a desolate place with no internet, and famously told gamers to #dealwithit.
If I may, you know what’s crap? Firing a bunch of good employees, releasing a highly-popular reboot with servers that remind players less of SimCity and more of The Towering Inferno, and nickel-and-diming every single game offering. That is crap.
