Nintendo announces Super Luigi U to also be stand alone game
Before Nintendo’s “Nintendo Direct” stream began most gamers probably already knew about the Super Luigi U DLC being added to Super Mario U this summer. In a surprise announcement, Satoru Iwata stated that “because this was the year of Luigi” they would be releasing Super Luigi U by itself.
The game features Luigi as the main character and the levels were redesigned to help further the fact that gamers are playing as Luigi. Joining Luigi in his quest are Blue Toad, Yellow Toad, and a new character called “Nabbit.” Nabbit was previously a thief that stole things from you in previous entries of the series. Now that Nabbit has been turned good, he can no longer pick up items but he is invulnerable to damage. So, he might be a good character for children to use so they don’t become frustrated by dieing in the game.
Gamers who own Super Mario U can pick up this DLC for $19.99 on June 20, 2013. Those gamers that decided not to pick up the game, but may be interested in this Luigi adventure can purchase the game at retail for $29.99 on July 26, 2013 in the UK and August 25, 2013 in the USA.
