Nvidia Shield launching in June

The Nvidia Shield has been given a launch month.

The handheld is set to release in June for $350. The device, which is powered by the Tegra 4, will start accepting pre-orders on May 20 through New Egg, GameStop, Micro Center and Canada Computers.

The Shield will run Android 4.2.1, will have 16GB of internal storage and a built-in mic and GPS, along with a mini-HDMI port in the back.

All Shields will have two free games: Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 and Expendable: Rearmed. Five new games were also announced: Broken Age and Costume Quest from Double Fine, Flyhunter: Origins from Steel Wool Games, Skiing Fred from Dedalord Games and Chuck’s Challenge from Chuck Sommerville’s Niffler.
