According to NAG magazine Warner Bros. Montreal says that Kevin Conroy, who was the voice actor for Batman in Batman: Arkhan Asylum and Arkham City, will not be reprising his role for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins.
The publisher says it wants “to use a new younger actor because the game features Batman in his early years,” which we suppose makes sense as Conroy’s deep tones make Batman sound older.
Origins will look at Batman’s younger days in the series, with WB Montreal developing this game. Rocksteady had developed the first two games.
The article also notes that Mark Hamill, who voices Joker, will also not be returning.
Batman Arkham: Origins will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U on October 25.
