THQ Finishes Sale of Remaining Available IP’s

THQ Logo

Well the sad news of THQ’s demise and bankruptcy is finally nearing its end, as THQ announced today that they have sold off their remaining IP’s and are now awaiting the Bankruptcy Court to hear the sales motions on May 13, 2013.

Here is the breakdown on the sale of $6.55 Million:

Nordic Games paid $4.9 Million for Darksiders, Red Faction, MX vs ATV, Destroy all Humans!, Summoner and more. The sale also includes other Licensed Software — includes Marvel Super Hero Squad, Supreme Commander and more.

Gearbox Software (Makers of Borderlands) paid $1.35 Million for Homeworld.

505 Games paid 0.3 Million for Drawn to Life and Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter.

Well Nordic Games certainly upped their portfolio with all of the IP’s they were able to add. I will be interested to see what Gearbox can do with Homeworld as well.
