Capcom Cancels Another Mega Man Game

Capcom has given the axe to yet another Mega Man project.  Following in the footsteps of Mega Man Legends 3 and Mega Man Universe, Mega Man Online, an online game set to take place in the Mega Man X universe, has been cancelled.  A spokesman for Neowiz, the company working on the game for Capcom, released a statement saying,

“Both companies have continually discussed to find agreeable points on quality, development time, communication and etc. Ultimately, both companies have agreed to stop the development of Rock Man Online last early November.”

This shouldn’t really affect US gamers too much, because the project was unlikely to leave its homeland of South Korea, but considering Mega Man’s struggles, it’s not good to hear about a cancelled project.

  • Think, Capcom! March 15, 2013 at 6:43 PM

I wish I had a real time skimmer, then I’d go back, see that I became president of Capcom, so I could fix everything. I’d keep Street Fighter II V funded, make sure X4 and X Collection got the content they were supposed to have, and see to it that Megaman V for GBC, Megaman Universe, Megaman Legends 3, and Megaman Online were made. I’d also have a shitload of characters put into MVC3, Megaman included.
