Nintendo’s 3DS Technology Infringes Upon Existing Patent According To Federal Jury
Nintendo was hit with a serious blow today in Federal court. A jury in the U.S. District court in Manhattan ruled that the company infringed upon a patent by one Seijiro Tomita which dealt with glasses free 3D technology. The jury also awarded Tomita 30.2 million dollars in damages. Kotaku reached out to Nintendo for comment who stated that this will not affect any of their sales or line of games, etc. Nintendo is also “confident” that the ruling will be “set aside”.
