Xbox Live Family Pack is Gonzo

According to Microsoft, the Xbox Live Family Pack, which gave users a nice little discount of four accounts for $99.99 is officially gone.

A Microsoft rep informed users via the Xbox Support Forums that the pack is no longer being offered, which means that anyone trying to renew their accounts with that option, will be met with an error message.

“The Family Gold offer is no longer available for purchase. The Family Center experience with settings management, allowance granting, child activity reports & family subscriptions management are still available for current Family Gold members at this time. We continually evaluate our business focus and work to offer services that make the most sense for our customers and Xbox.”

For anyone who had renewed while the option was still present, fear not, you’ll still be able to use it.

Looking to save money on your Xbox Live accounts? Try checking out Best Buy and Amazon.com, who frequently offer a 12-month membership at a discounted price.
