Neverwinter Begins the Second Beta This Weekend


If you are one of the lucky ones that has been given the opportunity to participate in the Neverwinter Beta, this weekend (Mar 8th at 12:00pm PST) you will be able to take part in the second round of testing. Don’t fret though if you don’t have a key, you can still participate in Beta Weekend 2. Or if you would like to be surprised when it is officially released, you will be happy to know that it will be free to play.

The Beta this weekend is open to thousands of new players and if you are a lifetime subscriber to either Star Trek Online or Champions Online, you are automatically invited.

There is a ton of content to be made available this weekend. during the sixty hours that are available, you will find new gameplay, features, classes, and a higher level cap. Things that are new to this weekends event are the introduction of a new Class called the Control Wizard who will have a new range of spells and AoE attacks to use.

If you are lucky enough to make it to level 40, you will be able to access new zones such as the Ebon Down burial grounds or helm’s Hold Monastery.  There is also going to be a epic fight available with the Mad Dragon.

If you are familiar with Neverwinter’s past games, creation is a powerful aspect of the series. This weekend you will be able to use the Foundry. this toolset you will be able to access created adventures from other players and play, share, and create your own quests and campaigns in the persistent game world.
