Skyrim Beta for PC Goes “Legendary,” Effectively Removes Level Cap
Plenty of people out there are still playing Bethesda Softworks’ Game of the Year award-winning Skyrim, and for good reason: there’s always more stuff to do. But for those of you who’ve already foregone sleeping, eating, and practically breathing to clear all the quests, defeat all the monsters, and max out your characters, you now have a new goal to achieve: Legendary skills.
The beta for this patch is being released on Steam; opting in will allow you to obtain a bevy of bug-fixes as well as start gaining Legendary skills. Skills that have reached level 100 can be made “Legendary,” resetting them to 15 and returning their perks to let you level again. This seems like it would cause some trouble when you’re playing on high difficulties, but only minimal details about the beta and new mode were released. A new “Legendary” difficult mode will also be introduced.
