Wii U fans were none too happy about the delay for Rayman Legends. The game is apparently finished, but is being held off for a multiplatform release. This is most likely because Microsoft and Sony do not like late ports on their system. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemont is trying to put a positive spin on this delay. In an interview with Gamecult, Mr Guillemont said,
“No problem with the Wii U. In fact, we saw the opportunity, by giving more time, to have the best game ever made for the Wii U.
Teams began to show what they made with the whole social aspect, which they will release in April. This makes it possible to make a social part which was impossible until now, and additional bosses.”
While it’s doubtful this was the true reason behind the delay, the extra content could be nice. It’s a little hard to be mad at Ubisoft considering their support for the Wii U has been the best among the industry, and the much anticipated Watch Dogs will be headed to Wii U fans.
