Steam for Linux is finally leaving behind the beta moniker and taking on a new one: Officially Launched. To celebrate, the more than 50 games that are available on the Linux version of Steam are 50 to 75 percent off their normal price. The sale ends at 10 AM PST on Wednesday though, so best to be quick if you want in on the action. You can download Steam for Linux in the Ubuntu Software Center. Also there’s a Team Fortress 2 item involved, of course. If you play the Linux version of the game you get the Linux mascot, Tux the penguin, which can be carried by all classes. Cheers.
