The PC version of Halo 2 was supposed to have stopped receiving multiplayer support this week, but 343 Industries will instead continue supporting it for a little while longer.
343’s David Ellis tweeted yesterday that support would continue until June.
“Halo 2 PC support extended through June 2013 while we investigate further support options. Now go get those achievements.” – @DavidEllis
The game had launched back in 2007, a little over two years after the game’s original launch on the first Xbox, which was then ported to PC due to high demand.
Obviously there’s no guarantee that support will be extended past June so if you’re one of those online players that still jumps into Halo 2, take advantage while it lasts.
