GameStop Chimes in on How to Save the Wii U

In a statement from the GameStop CFO Rob Lloyd to the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference, he has given Nintendo a little quip into what will help drive sales of those consoles that have been out since the holidays of last year.

In his speech, he says that the system has been selling steadily since launch and it needs a “Blockbuster” first party release to keep selling those systems. That said, I am sure that Nintendo is well aware of this and has many projects in the works, many of which were shown at Nintendo’s most recent Nintendo Direct where it outlined multiple first party titles such as X and Mario Kart U. (Oh please make X the dreams of my nightmare!)  Tomorrow at 9:00 AM EST we will also see a Nintendo direct conference probably to respond to this statement and others that talk of the struggling (sic) sales. The CFO does state that the system has been performing at “expectations”. But take that with a grain of salt. he could just mean that those expectations are regarding the tie ratio or the profit margins from the system.

So yeah, it would seem that he is just wailing on that dead horse by touting his astute command of the obvious. I agree, they need a system seller, at the time of this writing they have what? Zombie U? Just outsorce that coding that you need done and get it done in a couple of weeks. Problem solved.
