Looks like Nintendo and Namco Bandai are once again working together on a Mario Kart arcade game, as IGN reports that the two publishers will debut Mario Kart: Arcade GP DX in Japan later this year.
The two plan on showcasing the game at the Japan Amusement Expo in two weeks, but details about the game have already surfaced.
From what we’re hearing, the game will have some newer components (that weren’t in the first arcade game) that can be found in recent titles such as gliding, as possible in Mario Kart 7. It sounds like the game will also use some type of camera system to show a racer’s face in “various ways”. Also, the game will have the typical single-player GP mode, two player co-op, a four-player competitive mode and “Clone Battle” mode.
We’ll keep you posted on this one.
