With Super Bowl XLVII only days away, featuring the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens, a simulation of the match-up has been put together by EA using Madden NFL 13 to predict the winner.
The sim, which you can watch clips of in the video above, predicts that the Ravens will come away with a 27-24 win, which while can be taken with a grain of salt, the game has predicted seven of the last nine Super Bowl winners accurately since 2004.
Some staff predictions:
Sean Garmer (49ers): Kapernick electrifies on offense, while the stingy defense holds off Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense. The Ravens D might have everybody together again but they gotta stop too much running power and the passing game of the Niners.
Marcos Aranda (Ravens): While the 49ers have a strong team this year with both great defense and an explosive quarterback, the Ravens have already proved that they can beat them once this season and in Super Bowl XLVII, they’ll do it again.
Ryan Bates (Ravens): Is it baseball season yet?
Ramon Aranda (49ers): I just think San Francisco has too many weapons right now and despite losing to Baltimore earlier in the season, San Francisco has undergone some personnel changes and I just don’t think it’s the same team anymore. Should be a good one though and I expect a lot of high scoring.
