EA’s Origin Coming for Mac

EA has announced that Origin is finally coming for Mac, with an open alpha already available for both North American and UK fans.

When Origin is fully deployed for Mac, it will have the same features that are currently found for PC, such as automatic patching, friend lists and cloud storage.

For those who end up downloading the beta, the tab for the Origin Store will not be functional yet until the client is officially live, nor will live-streaming to Twitch.  What will function however, is adding non-Origin games to your library, chatting with friends and you’ll be able to continue games that you have saved via Origin on Mac.

EA is also giving away free copies of Bookworm for anyone who tries out the Origin alpha.

Minimum requirements are OS X 10.6.8 and newer and at least an Intel Core 2 Duo processor.
