There is a new update available for Halo 4 that will automatically download the next time you boot up the game. This latest update brings with it a new playlist called Community Forge Test that adds six new maps that have been created by the in-game map editor by community members.
The maps that are included are called Despair, Relay, Shutout, Garrote, Scyhte and Simplex, with each of them being 4v4 that can be played in King of the Hill, SWAT Infinity Slayer and Capture the Flag modes. Keep in mind that 343 Industries have hand selected these six maps, so they must be pretty good to have made the cut. These maps will remain on the playlist temporarily until they have been tested thoroughly for any issues, before the developer throws them into the fold permanently (assuming they decide to of course).
343 Industries has smartly created a thread on the Halo Waypoint forums for gamers to leave feedback regarding these maps, so if you come across any bugs or exploits, be sure to let them know.
Gamers will also find that the latest (6th) episode of Spartan Ops is also now available, which adds five new co-op missions to Halo 4. As for players who have reached Service Rank 50, you can now nab the Pathfinder and Pioneer specializations.
