Zynga Japan Shutting Down
Zynga’s fortunes just keep taking a punch to the gut as the company’s Japanese office has been confirmed to be closing down.
According to Games Industry International, Kenji Matsubara, Zynga Japan’s CEO announced the closure via Facebook, confirming suspicions that were hinted at by Zynga founder Mark Pincus in November.
The branch will be ending operations in January, with the 31st appearing to be the targeted date.
The publisher’s three big titles, Montopia, Mojitomo and Machitsuku have already been shut down, though card-battle game Ayakashi is supposed to keep running after the branch shutdown.
