Activision CEO Bobby Kotick recently shared more information regarding the firing of Jason West and Vince Zampella to The New York Times.
In the piece, Kotick said firing West and Zampella was simple.
“You find out two executives are planning to break their contracts, keep the money you gave them and steal 40 employees. What do you do? You fire them,” he said.
After firing the duo, they sued Activision for missing royalties from Modern Warfare 2, which was settled earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Kotick also discussed that he turned down offers from Hollywood to make the Call of Duty franchise into a film due to video game films often failing and not wanting to hurt the brand.
