Google Maps Announced for Wii U
During this morning’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata announced that Google Maps is coming to the Wii U, which will also work in conjunction with the previously mentioned Panorama View app.
Users will be able to move the Gamepad around to view different angles, with the ability to switch over to StreetView mode.
Google Maps will be a free download when it debuts in Q1 2013, while in Japan, it will arrive in January. Keep in mind however, that it will be free only for a limited time, though Nintendo didn’t specify how long it would remain free.
