Welcome to the GotGame Daily Update for Tuesday, December 4th
Today:
MLG December Broadcast Schedule
Dragonborn DLC
and more
But first a few quick news bytes.
A fix for Hitman: Absolution crashing issues on consoles will be coming some time next week.
Now back to your regularly scheduled news cast.
Skyrim’s newest DLC, Dragonborn, is now available on the XBOX 360 today for 1600 Microsoft Points on XBOX Live. Dohvakiin’s can now go to Solstheim, the setting for the Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind. New towns, dungeons, and other adventures supposedly await you. Oh, and you can also gain some shouts to tame dragons and fight the first Dragonborn himself. The rest of us without a 360 will have to wait to see if this DLC is worth it’s weight in money or if, like Dawnguard, it’s a big ol’ flop.
Major League Gaming has announced their broadcasting schedule for this month. It’s quite a long list that you can check out below. Needs moar League of Legends, I’ll tell you that.

Going back to the DLC grind, Assassin’s Creed III season pass holder’s are getting their first piece of downloadable content: The Hidden Secrets Pack. This pack will include three extra missions (the Lost Mayan Ruins, the Ghost of War, and a Dangerous Secret. Unfortunately for you though these maps will only add about an hour of game play, or if you’re bad at Assassin’s Creed like me, quite a few hours of fail. Also available with the DLC are two costumes, the Captain of the Aquila uniform and the traditional colonial Assassin outfit, for singe player and two new multiplayer characters, the Redcoat and the Sharpshooter.
Remember when you first bought your Wii U and you were so excited to play it until the firmware update started? Well, for a few more months, users will share your woes before the update is physically added to the console according to Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. Can we just call him Nam prez Reg? No? Don’t forget that if you turn off your Wii U console while the update is running you will brick your console. A.K.A it will turn into a paperweight.
It’s a DLC bonanza today, as Darksiders 2 is also getting it’s Demon Lord Belial DLC today. Season pass fans of course will get the content free with their subscription, but us regulars will need to pay $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points. In the DLC, players will seek out the remnants of humanity and run into none other than the Demon Lord Belial himself. No news about the Wii U version of this DLC yet.
Last but not least, some Steam news. If you recall awhile back Gabe Newell, head hancho of Valve, said that Windows 8 would be a catastrophe. Well, according to some statistics about Steam usage on Windows 8 he might be incorrect, or correct depending on how you interpret the following numbers. PC Gamer reports that 4.69% of Steam users are on Windows 8. Not a big number, but that number was a 2.66% increase from last month. Time will only tell if Windows 8 will gain gamer’s trust. It may be hard though, after all no apps with adult content will be allowed on the Windows 8 app store. However you can have adult games like Skyrim and Borderlands 2 on desktop mode for Windows 8.
That’s it for the GotGame Daily Update. Don’t forget to check out our City of Steam contest! Link below.
