Far Cry 3 Having Network Issues in Europe and Asia
Far Cry 3, which releases in the U.S. next week is already available via Steam in Europe and in Asia. Unfortunately, some issues with Ubisoft’s UPlay network is causing problems for the game when in online mode.
This has made the game unplayable, but fortunately, Ubisoft has acknowledged the problem, noting via their Twitter page that they are looking into it.
We’re very sorry for the server issues affecting Far Cry 3 on PC and are working as fast as possible to restore the service.

In the meantime, Gameranx notes that you can set the game to offline mode, bypassing UPlay in order to get in on the action.
