GotGame Daily News Update: Destiny Leaks, Yoshi’s Island, And More

(Sorry for the lack of audio. Having some technical difficulties. Will try to get it up later tonight)

Hello and welcome to the GotGame Daily News Update. Today is Wednesday, November 28, 2012.

This Episode We’ve got
Destiny leaks

PS Plus European members get free stuff

Quite a few games getting discounted.

And more!

But first a few quick news bytes.

If you’ve been itching for a 3DS XL bundle, then itch no more. One is coming, with Mario Kart 7 pre-installed on the system on Decmeber 2, 2012 for $200.

Deathstroke has been added to Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition has arrived on PC today for $20. It will be coming to other platforms “soon”.

After an exploit found on the Wii U revealed Yoshi’s Island for the console. Canadian websites for Best Buy and Future Shop now have product listings for the game and have an expected release date for December 31, 2012, which is just a filler.

Now back to your regularly scheduled news cast.

Listeners, it’s no secret that gaming industries leak like a looney toon leaks water after being shot one too many times. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that we’ve got more information about Bungie’s new title, Destiny. Bungie even says the leaks are the “real deal”. IGN received a document from one of their readers detailing an “outside look” at what Destiny is, plot, key values, and more. To keep things short I’ll read the synopsis given in the document:

“Our story begins seven hundred years from now in the Last City on Earth, in a Solar System littered with the ruins of man’s Golden Age. A massive, mysterious alien ship hangs overhead like a second Moon. No one knows where it came from or what it’s here for, but only that it’s our protector. Meanwhile, strange, alien monsters creep in from the edge of the universe, determined to take Earth and the Last City. We are young ‘knights’ tasked with defending the remains of humanity, discovering the source of these monsters and – eventually – overcoming it.”

Finally listeners, more news about Dragon Age III Inquisition has been revealed through the LinkedIn profile of an EA Shanghai employee. The profile states that Inquisition will be for next generation consoles and won’t be out until 2014. So it seems like Microsoft and Sony are supposed to announce their new console within the year and have it for sale within a few months of the announcement. Microsoft and Sony, if you’re going to take a leaf out of Nintendo’s book, don’t take the launch model leaf.
