Update: Gamer Hacks Nintendo Network On Accident With X, Nintendo Fixes Issue

System launches are always a scary for consumers because they usually are filled with glitches, bugs, freezes, and crazy things like accidental hacks by pressing the X button on a controller. Well, that last one only happens on the Nintendo Network apparently.

According to GamesRadar, Nintendo has announced that they´ve fixed Wii U players being able to see a “mock-up debug screen.” NeoGaf user Trike posted,

“I found out I could access the debug menu on Miiverse by hitting the “X” button on the gamepad while hovering over the exit button. I found an admin access list or something to that effect. I couldn’t really do anything from there though. I could view different messages from a developer though. One mentioned that there would be big games coming out (announced?) on the 10th of December.”

There are a few interesting things that this user learned from accessing the debug screen. Of course, all of this stuff could be just things put into the screen and may not actually happen. On the picture shown above you can see links for big franchises like Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid. There are also a couple of new games we have not heard of called “Yoshi´s Land Wii U” and “Soul Hackers.” They also have stars by them as well so its quite possible these are unannounced games. There is also a note from various developers that some big game announcements are supposed to come on December 10, 2012.

Once again, take all of this stuff with a grain of salt. However, I for one would like to find out all this stuff ends up happening.
