From Bane to Sam Fisher, Tom Hardy to Star in Splinter Cell the Movie
The upcoming big screen adaptation of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell now has a main man, as Ubisoft have confirmed that Tom Hardy will play the role of Sam Fisher. Hardy, who has starred in Batman:The Dark Knight Rises, and Mad Max:Fury Road – will step into the role of Sam Fisher, arguably one of video games most iconic characters.
Ubisoft Motion Pictures CEO Jean-Julien-Baronnet said “Tom Hardy is currently one of the biggest talents in the film industry, and he has a phenomenal ability to take on complex and varied roles with his broad range of acting skills. “His involvement in ‘Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell’ movie is exciting news for movie and video game fans alike.
Splinter Cell will be the second feature film that Ubisoft will be preparing for, the first being Assassins Creed. Splinter Cell has not yet been connected to a studio yet, but Ubisoft has apparently been in talks with both Warner Brothers and Paramount.
